Why Choose the Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck Cover?
The Bucas Therapy Neck Cover combines lightweight insulation, waterproof protection and Recuptex therapeutic technology, extending the comfort-focused design of the Bucas Therapy Turnout range.
Its specialist stainless-steel mesh fabric is intended to support the horse's natural circulation and muscular comfort, while the durable ballistic nylon outer provides practical protection against wet weather.
The smooth Dermo-Care lining and lightweight 50g filling help maintain comfortable coverage, making this neck cover a useful addition during cooler or changeable conditions.
Bucas Recuptex Therapy Technology
The Bucas Recuptex fabric incorporates an extremely fine stainless-steel mesh developed to interact with the horse's naturally occurring electromagnetic fields.
According to Bucas, this technology is intended to encourage circulation and support muscular comfort.
Unlike conventional magnetic therapy products containing separate magnets, the Recuptex system uses stainless-steel mesh integrated into the fabric.
The therapeutic properties are part of the material itself rather than a surface treatment, meaning they are designed to remain present through appropriate washing and regular use.
Although Bucas associates Recuptex technology with circulation and recovery support, these effects should not be considered guaranteed medical outcomes.
Lightweight 50g Thermobonded Insulation
The Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck Cover features 50g thermobonded polyester wadding, providing a light additional layer of warmth around the horse's neck.
This insulation complements the Bucas Therapy turnout range while helping provide comfortable coverage during cooler conditions.
The appropriate level of neck coverage will depend on the horse's individual needs and the weather.
Durable Waterproof Ballistic Nylon Outer
The neck cover features a tough ballistic nylon outer fabric, designed to provide durability and weather protection during turnout.
With a waterproof rating exceeding 5,000mm hydrostatic head, the fabric helps protect against wet conditions.
Breathability exceeding 3,000g/24h/m² allows moisture vapour to escape, helping maintain comfort beneath the neck cover.
Silky Dermo-Care Lining
The Bucas Dermo-Care lining provides a smooth, silky surface against the horse's coat.
Its moisture-wicking properties help move moisture away from the skin, supporting coat comfort while helping minimise friction during regular wear.
The soft lining complements the neck cover's breathable construction and lightweight insulation.
Additional Neck Coverage & Protection
Designed to complement compatible Bucas Therapy turnout rugs, the neck cover provides additional protection across the horse's neck.
Its waterproof outer helps shield this area from wet weather, while the 50g filling adds lightweight insulation.
The coordinated Navy/Orange design creates a smart, matching appearance when paired with the corresponding Bucas Therapy rug.
Compatible with Bucas Therapy Turnout Rugs
The Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck Cover is designed to attach to compatible Bucas Therapy turnout rugs equipped with the appropriate neck attachment points.
Check compatibility with your existing rug before purchasing to ensure the correct fit and attachment arrangement.
Please note: This product is the neck cover only. The Bucas Therapy Turnout Rug is sold separately.
Introducing Your Horse to Recuptex Therapy
Bucas recommends introducing Recuptex therapy products gradually when first used.
Begin with shorter periods of wear and increase the duration progressively while monitoring your horse's comfort and response.
Although the Recuptex fabric does not contain separate magnets and Bucas states that extended use may be possible, suitability should be assessed individually.
Always monitor your horse's temperature, skin condition and general comfort.
