Bucas Therapy Cooler Rug - Navy/Orange
The Bucas Therapy Cooler Rug - Navy/Orange is a premium therapeutic horse cooler combining innovative Bucas Recuptex technology with the moisture-wicking performance of the signature Stay-Dry lining. Designed to support comfortable cooling and drying after exercise, washing or everyday stable routines, this versatile rug features specialist therapy fabric along the back, practical fastenings and a comfortable, shaped fit.
The distinctive Bucas Recuptex Therapy fabric incorporates an exceptionally fine stainless-steel mesh designed to interact with the horse's naturally occurring electromagnetic fields. Positioned along the back, this specialist material is intended to support circulation and muscular comfort, making the cooler particularly appealing for horses requiring additional attention to their back and general wellbeing.
The Bucas Stay-Dry lining helps draw moisture away from the horse's skin, allowing the rug to be used on a damp or slightly sweaty horse. Its moisture-wicking construction supports a more comfortable drying process after exercise or washing.
Designed for flexibility, the Therapy Cooler can be worn independently or secured beneath compatible Bucas turnout and stable rugs using dedicated front and rear attachment points.
Finished with a T-bar front fastening with Snap-lock closure, shoulder darts, smooth Silk-Feel shoulder lining and secure cross surcingles, the Bucas Therapy Cooler offers a practical combination of comfort, moisture management and therapeutic technology.

Why Choose the Bucas Therapy Cooler Rug?

Its Stay-Dry lining helps manage moisture after exercise or washing, while the integrated therapy fabric is designed to support muscular comfort along the back.
Unlike a conventional cooler, the Bucas Therapy Cooler can also be attached beneath compatible Bucas turnout or stable rugs, allowing the horse to benefit from an additional layer as part of its normal rugging routine.
The practical fastening system, comfortable shoulder design and distinctive Navy/Orange finish complete this premium cooler.
Bucas Recuptex Therapy Technology
The Bucas Recuptex fabric incorporates an exceptionally fine stainless-steel mesh designed to interact with the horse's naturally occurring electromagnetic fields.
Positioned along the back, this specialist material is intended by Bucas to encourage circulation and support muscular comfort.
Unlike conventional magnetic therapy rugs containing separate magnets, the Recuptex system uses stainless-steel mesh integrated into the fabric.
The therapeutic properties are incorporated into the material rather than applied as a surface treatment, meaning they are designed to remain present through appropriate washing.
Please note: The rug is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. Horses experiencing persistent stiffness, swelling, lameness or injury should be assessed by a veterinary professional.
Moisture-Wicking Bucas Stay-Dry Lining
The Bucas Stay-Dry lining is designed to help draw moisture away from the horse's skin, supporting a comfortable drying process.
This makes the Therapy Cooler particularly useful after exercise, washing or when a horse is slightly sweaty.
The lining helps manage moisture while the horse remains covered, providing a practical alternative to changing rugs immediately after activity.
Comfortable Shoulder Design
The Bucas Therapy Cooler features carefully positioned shoulder darts, providing additional shaping around the front of the horse.
A smooth Silk-Feel shoulder lining helps minimise friction across this area, supporting coat comfort during regular wear.
Secure T-Bar & Snap-Lock Front Fastening
The rug features a practical T-bar front fastening with Snap-lock closure, designed for convenient and secure everyday use.
Cross surcingles help maintain a stable fit beneath the belly, while the fillet string provides additional security at the rear.
A dedicated loop allows the attachment of a compatible Bucas Tail Protector.
Suitable for Post-Exercise Cooling & Drying
The Bucas Therapy Cooler is particularly useful following exercise, grooming or washing when a horse requires comfortable coverage while drying.
Its moisture-wicking Stay-Dry lining helps move moisture away from the skin, while the therapy fabric along the back provides the additional comfort-focused features associated with the Bucas Therapy range.
Compatible with Bucas Turnout & Stable Rugs
The Bucas Therapy Cooler includes front neck attachment points and rear D-ring connections, allowing it to be secured beneath compatible Bucas turnout and stable rugs.
This versatile design makes it possible to incorporate the cooler into the Bucas Layer System when additional coverage is required.
Check your existing Bucas rug for compatible attachment points before use.
Introducing Your Horse to Recuptex Therapy
Bucas recommends introducing Recuptex therapy products gradually when first used.
Begin with shorter periods of wear and increase the duration progressively while monitoring your horse's comfort and response.
Although Bucas states that extended wear may be possible because the fabric does not contain separate magnets, suitability should be assessed individually.
Always monitor your horse's temperature, skin condition and general comfort.
