Constructed from a durable 600D diamond triple-weave polyester outer, the Akoni features a waterproof and breathable membrane with a 10,000mm waterproof rating and 10,000g/m²/24h breathability rating. A Teflon-coated finish provides additional resistance to moisture and stains for practical everyday turnout.

With 0g fill, the Akoni provides weather protection without additional insulation, making it particularly suitable for spring, summer and autumn. The Original design has no neck-cover attachments, providing a straightforward standard-neck option for horses that don't require additional neck coverage.

Designed around Premier Equine's deep-cut Original Buster Pattern, the rug features an extra-high elasticated shoulder gusset to encourage freedom of movement. The neckline is shaped to sit approximately 2–4 inches in front of the wither, while a fleece wither pad provides additional comfort.

Inside, an antibacterial and anti-static breathable polyester lining provides a smooth surface against the coat.
