Carr & Day & Martin Carrs Leather Oil is a heavy-duty, deeply conditioning oil designed specifically for excessively dry, cracked, and brittle leather. It’s a powerful alternative to neatsfoot oil, created to restore suppleness and help protect leather items that have become dehydrated, stiff, or prone to splitting.
This specially formulated viscous oil softens and nourishes leather fibres while adding waterproofing properties, making it ideal for saddlery, harness, and walking boots—especially when leather needs intensive care rather than everyday conditioning.
For best results, use only as required on dry and brittle leather. Always start by ensuring the leather is clean, then apply a thin layer to the flesh side and allow it to soak in thoroughly for at least 24 hours. If needed, you can apply a thin layer to the grain side as well—reapplying only if the leather still appears dry and taking care not to over-oil.
Not suitable for aniline or untreated leather, suede, or nubuck. Always test on a hidden area before first use.
