Why Choose the Bucas Therapy 150g Turnout Rug?

The Bucas Therapy 150g combines mediumweight insulation, waterproof protection and innovative Recuptex technology, offering a versatile turnout rug for horses requiring additional warmth and comfort.

Its specialist stainless-steel mesh fabric is designed to support the horse's natural circulation and muscular wellbeing, while the tough 1680D ballistic nylon outer provides durable protection during turnout.

With 150g insulation, this version offers more warmth than the Bucas Therapy Light 50g model, making it particularly useful during cooler conditions.

The silky Dermo-Care lining and secure Bucas fastening system complete a practical rug designed for regular use.

Bucas Recuptex Therapy Technology

The Bucas Recuptex fabric incorporates an exceptionally fine stainless-steel mesh designed to interact with the horse's naturally occurring electromagnetic fields.

According to Bucas, this technology is intended to encourage circulation and support muscular comfort, particularly around the back.

It may be of interest for horses that experience stiffness or require additional support as part of their normal management routine.

Unlike conventional magnetic therapy rugs containing separate magnets, the Recuptex system uses stainless-steel mesh integrated into the fabric.

The therapeutic properties are incorporated into the material rather than applied as a surface treatment, meaning they are designed to remain present through appropriate washing and regular use.

Please note: The rug is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Any concerns involving persistent stiffness, swelling, lameness or injury should be assessed by a veterinary professional.

Mediumweight 150g Thermobonded Insulation

The Bucas Therapy Turnout features 150g thermobonded polyester wadding, providing a comfortable level of insulation for cooler weather.

This mediumweight filling offers additional warmth compared with the 50g Therapy Light version, making it particularly suitable for autumn, winter and cooler spring conditions.

The appropriate rug weight will depend on your horse's individual requirements, coat, clipping status and weather conditions.

Durable 1680D Ballistic Nylon Outer

The rug features a tough 1680D ballistic nylon outer, designed to provide durable protection during regular turnout.

With a waterproof rating exceeding 5,000mm hydrostatic head, the fabric helps protect against wet weather.

Breathability exceeding 3,000g/24h/m² allows moisture vapour to escape, helping maintain a more comfortable environment beneath the rug.

Silky Dermo-Care Lining

The Bucas Dermo-Care lining provides a smooth, silky surface against the horse's coat.

Its moisture-wicking properties help move moisture away from the skin, supporting coat comfort while helping minimise friction during wear.

The soft lining complements the rug's insulation and breathable construction.

Click'n Go Front Fastening with Magnetic Snap-Lock

The Bucas Therapy 150g features the patented Click'n Go front fastening system with magnetic Snap-lock closure.

This practical design helps make fastening the rug quick and convenient while providing a secure closure for everyday use.

Shoulder darts create additional shaping around the front of the horse, supporting a comfortable fit and freedom of movement.

Secure & Comfortable Turnout Design

Designed for regular outdoor use, the rug features cross surcingles, deluxe leg straps, a protective tail flap and deluxe tail cord.

These practical details help keep the rug correctly positioned while providing additional coverage and stability during turnout.

Compatible with Bucas Liners, Quilts & Coolers

The Bucas Therapy 150g includes connection points for use with compatible Bucas Liners, Quilts and Coolers.

This allows additional layers to be incorporated when required, providing flexibility as temperatures change.

Optional Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck

The rug features a Classic Cut design with attachment points for a compatible Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck.

The optional neck cover provides additional protection and incorporates the corresponding therapeutic fabric.

Please note: The Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck is sold separately and is not included with this rug.

Introducing Your Horse to Recuptex Therapy

Bucas recommends introducing the Therapy rug gradually when first used.

Begin with shorter periods of wear and increase the duration progressively while monitoring your horse's comfort and response.

Although Bucas states that extended wear is possible because the Recuptex fabric does not contain separate magnets, suitability for prolonged use should be assessed individually.

Always monitor your horse's temperature, skin condition and general comfort, particularly during changing weather conditions.
